Chapter 8: China and the World


The Tang Dynasty was founded by Emperor Gaozu by the beginning of the golden age in china. The golden age was the best time china had. They made many improvements in technology and literature. For example book were printed for the first time in the history of the world. And their culture was expanded and better than never. Before the Tang dynasty there was the Sui dynasty. Unfortunately it collapsed because of the ruthlessness of the Sui emperors and there futile military. Right after they collapse the Tang and the Song Dynasty came along. The song dynasty was the richest and most skilled population in the world. In another words china was having the time of there lives during the golden age. The en of the golden age was around in 1450.

Chapter 10 The Worlds of Christianity


During 500-1300 china believed in christianity so later then other places like south Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam, and parts of India had a lot of people who followed christianity. Asian Christianity, after Muhammad's death, discrimination for christians occurred, discriminations happened so fast that not a lot of christians groups where able to survive. African Christianity, mainly the middle east had trouble with christianity because Islam was a very big religion over there. Christianity did became a major religion for Egypt after the muslim conquest. 
The Byzantine State is the continuation of the roman empire. Byzantine came after the fall of the roman empire. According to the book the Byzantine empire was an impressive creation. There political authority was controlled in the Constantinople ideas. The Byzantine territory shrank after 1085. The end officially came in 1453.
