Chapter Three
States and Empire in Eurasia/North Africa
In this chapter we learned how North Africa and Eurasia witness more civilization came to the world. One of the most impressive empires was the Persian Empire. The book uses the word impressive and it sure used it well. What seem impressive to me was ho fast they grew, from 35 million to 50 million. They grew so much because the conquered India and Egypt. It was kinda of funny because i am doing a report on human rights and Cyrus the Great plays a big role in human rights. Cyrus the Great was the leader of this empire around 530-557 B.C.E. He was the leader who set the slaves free and allowed people to believe in any religion they wanted.
